“ Food 4 Service 4 Ambiance 4 The restaurant is a sit down restaurant but you do order first then find a seat with a number. We did order a lot of food. We orders banh khot. It was really good. Very crispy at the bottom and the shrimp was big. I ordered the rice noodles soup. The hu tieu was very delicious. There were a lot of meats. The shrimp was really big. You get two quail eggs and a lot of bbq pork and crispy pork skin. The sugarcane strawberry was also very good. I also ordered the coconut coffee with coffee jelly. The coffee was ok. ”
“ We haven't been there for the food but the drinks are what we come as repeat customers for. I usually get the Thai ice tea and it's super strong like it should be. Sweetness is perfect. My hubby usually gets the Ube coffee every time we're in the S. Sac area. ”
“ We came here specifically to try the Bo Ne. Upon arriving, we seated ourselves. The Bo Ne was okay--while it was a bit too sweet and oily for my taste, it paired nicely with the baguette and the iced tea that came with it. We also ordered the Bun Bo Hue, which was very flavorful, though it would've been even better if the broth had been served hotter. In addition to the food, we tried a few drinks, and the coconut coffee is easily one of my favorites here ”
“ Took my partner out for his first Vietnamese noodle soup. We came by one afternoon and were helped right away; they weren't too busy. Menu items are conveniently pictured in the entryway to help customers choose what to eat. You order & pay at the counter, then they bring out your items when they're ready, which didn't take long either. The shrimp spring rolls we shared were bouncy and fresh, with a divine peanut dipping sauce. We both had the chicken soup and it was soooo satisfying! After trying the iced coffee, my guy was sold. I had the taro milk tea with pearls. The dining area was clean and peaceful feeling. I'll definitely make it a point to try other items from their menu next time I'm in the area. ”
“ For those like me who are big fans of Saigon Oi in the same plaza, don't sleep on Di Kitchen!! If Saigon's classic banh mi skillet is up your alley, DK offers a variety of bò né which are slightly different in terms of the ingredients used but equally delicious. While Saigon Oi's menu is short and sweet, this neighboring restaurant offers a much more extensive selection of options ranging from skillets to noodle soups to banh mi to other authentic street dishes. They're often experimenting with the menu so that there's always something new to try each time I visit. The dishes offered are authentic and well-prepared, many of which are much more lowkey ones I've only ever tried in Vietnam and never seen served in the states before! Beyond the huge variety of entrees, I'm also super impressed by their dessert and seemingly endless drink selection. So happy to have discovered a solid chè (dessert soup) spot in Sac, and it's always nice to have a variety of nuoc mia choices for those good ol' triple digit Sac summer days. Also they definitely earn extra brownie points for an absolutely amazing Banh Kep La Dua (pandan waffle)-- chewy, warm and deliciously fragrant, such a satisfying take on a nostalgic childhood favorite!! :) ”
“ My friends wanted bo ne and this was one of two places in Sacramento that has it. The place is decently big. You just seat yourself and go up to the counter to order when you are ready. The Bo Ne came with a fresh baguette and a sweet iced barley drink. The flavor of the Bo ne was delicious but I wished the dish itself was hotter. 4/5 We got this pork floss bread thing. It was good not great. I liked all the toppings but I felt like it was outshined by the Bo ne. 3/5 Not pictured was the fish sauce chicken wings. The flavor was good but the skin itself wasn't crunchy enough. We wanted more fish sauce flavor. 3.5/5 The Kumquat and Strawberry Sugarcane Juices were straight gas. I would come back just for the juices. 5/5 ”
“ I've been craving Bo Luc Lac so much that this place was perfect for it. Not only that, but they also have a nice drinks menu for whether you're going with friends or family. To order, just go to the counter and then you can go to one of the tables while you wait. You can get your own water at a small counter after ordering. It's more of a self serve style, which is nice so you can eat and do things at your own pace. The Bo Luc Lac was so flavorful. I didn't expect to finish the entire plate, but it was so good, I couldn't help it. I tried to slow down to match my friends but the flavor was so much that I just inhaled my plate. If you're craving some Vietnamese rice dishes, I recommend coming here. ”
“ 3 stars for food 4 stars for egg coffee Specifically came here for the egg coffee, since I got hooked! Had my first taste of it in SJ and not Hanoi *eyes roll*, but it was sooooo good! Luckily they had it and it wasn't quite the same but it did the job. It did the job so good that I came back 3 more times!! Eeek! Need to gym it all the way if I keep continuing. Plenty of parking since it's in a plaza next to a school? Daycare? So drive carefully!! They tend to cross the parking lot for their playground. The interior was nothing short of a typical asian restaurant, but it was ver spacious and doesn't seem overwhelming with asian decor. They do have a faux green back wall for you to take pictures. It was weird sitting next to it when a group of tourist came to take pictures. I took my mom their try the food since she's never been there before. Obviously she ordered the Bun Bo Hue (her fav) and I ordered the Bo Kho. She wasn't impressed with it, she said not enough flavor. The Bo Kho was so so also, nothing special to rave about either. Not sure if I'll come back for the food, but definitely the egg coffee when I'm back in town. ”
“ Came here with a friend for dinner and was expecting the old menu, but they updated it. It was empty when we arrived at 5pm and stayed empty until about 6pm when one other person came in. You order when you get there and then sit down. The server took our order quickly and when food was ready he let us know so we could get it. I ordered the ribeye steak (Bo Ne) and she got spring rolls (forgot to take a pic). We shared the crispy rice. The Bo Ne no longer comes with a drink and salad but is still very tasty. The steak bites were so tender and juicy and tasted great. I can't vouch for the spring rolls since I didn't try one but my friend ate them all, so I'm assuming it was good! The crispy rice was just that, crispy lol. There was pork floss on top which added flavor but I feel like it could've used more depth. She got the sugar cane kumquat drink and I got the coconut dragon fruit. I'm not a fan of sugar cane but she finished her drink halfway through dinner. The dragon fruit drink was delicious! The crystal boba was a great addition to it, I wasn't expecting that. Overall, even though the menu has changed I would come back to try some other food items. ”
“ Good for lunch! We visited Di Kitchen on a Sunday afternoon, and found it pretty busy. However, there was no line to order at the counter. The interior was spacious, with plenty of plants, natural light, and seating options. I really liked the moss panel with their logo on the back wall. The lady at the counter was super friendly and helpful. I was deciding between two dishes, and she recommended the Bún Gà Nướng Chả Giò (Grilled chicken, egg rolls, rice noodles). I also got a Iced Milk Coffee, which she said was basically a Vietnamese Iced Coffee. The food was ready very quickly and packaged up securely (we got our orders to-go). The Iced Milk Coffee was decent, but I definitely prefer Vietnamese Iced Coffee. The cream on the bottom was very sweet and thick, and was difficult to mix in with the coffee. I did my best to stir it up, but was still getting mouthfuls of overwhelming sweetness or just bitter coffee. In terms of food, the portion size was extremely generous! My dish was tasty and I liked that it featured a bit of everything. The egg rolls were fantastic. I do wish they gave me more sauce than they did, since the noodles didn't really have flavor. Overall though, I enjoyed this - would return! ”
